Getting Started in Two Simple Steps

Follow this process to get the app and log in for your shift. The initial device setup will be handled by your manager.

Get the App

The Shopify POS app is available for both **iOS** and **Android**. Simply search for "Shopify POS" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and install it on your assigned store device.

Use Your Staff Login

You will be assigned a unique **4- to 6-digit PIN**. After the initial setup is complete, use this PIN on the app's lock screen to access your personal staff account. Remember to keep your PIN confidential. (Your PIN will be privately WhatsApp to you)

The Checkout Process

  • **Add Products:** Use the search bar or the built-in camera to scan barcodes.
  • **Modify Cart:** Easily adjust quantities, remove items, or add special order notes.
  • **Apply Discounts:** Add customer-specific or automatic promotional discounts.
  • **Take Payment:** Accept credit/debit cards, mobile wallets (like Apple Pay), and cash.
  • **Provide Receipts:** Offer customers a choice of a printed receipt or a digital one via email/SMS.

Tips for Success

Follow these best practices to ensure a smooth and professional experience for both you and our customers.

Start of Day

Always verify that all POS hardware (card reader, printer) is connected and working correctly before your first transaction.

End of Day

Follow your manager's instructions for closing out your shift, including cash counting and end-of-day reports.

Stay Current

Ensure the POS app is always updated to the latest version to access new features and security improvements.

Ask Questions

If you're ever unsure about a feature or process, don't hesitate to ask a manager or a senior staff member for help.
