Terms of Warranty
Commune offers a limited warranty that covers structural manufacturing issues for our products, starting from the date of delivery.1 The warranty periods are as follows:
- Wooden Furniture: 2 years (structural)2
- Sofas: 5 years (structural) and 1 year (soft furnishings)3
- Mattresses: 15 years4
How to Make a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please email us at enquiries@thecommunelife.com with the following:
- A clear description of the issue
- Photos of the problem
- Your original receipt
After assessing the claim, Commune will determine, at our discretion, if the item has a manufacturing defect. If so, we will offer one of the following solutions:
- Repair or refurbish the defective product.
- Provide a one-to-one exchange for the same item.
- Offer a one-to-one exchange for a similar item if the original product is no longer available.
What Voids Your Warranty
This limited warranty will not apply to any product that has been damaged due to the following:
- Improper Cleaning and Care: Damage caused by using detergents, abrasives, or other harsh cleaning agents.
- Negligence and Accidents: Damage from negligence, abuse, normal wear and tear, or accidents. This includes, but isn't limited to, burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scuffs, watermarks, indentations, or damage caused by pets.
- Improper Use: Using a product outdoors when it is not intended for outdoor use.
- Unauthorized Modifications: Any product modification not authorized by Commune will void this limited warranty.
- Incorrect Assembly: Damage resulting from incorrect self-assembly.
- Clearance or Display Items: Items purchased as 'Clearance Pieces / Display Pieces' are not covered.
- Non-Domestic Use: Products not used for domestic purposes.
- Shipping: Products being shipped or transferred to another location or country.
Additional Warranty Information
- This warranty covers manufacturing defects detected within the warranty period, including the cost of material components, replacement parts, labor, and transportation charges.
- If an item is found to be defective due to misuse or wear and tear (not a manufacturing defect), the customer will be responsible for the cost of material components, replacement parts, labor, and transportation.
- If a manufacturing defect is detected after the warranty period has expired, the customer will be responsible for the cost of material components, replacement parts, labor, and transportation.
- Any item repaired or replaced under this limited warranty will only be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
